In Return of the King Pippin says he’s known of Gandalf for years but didn’t actually know him pre-quest and I like to imagine the same applying in reverse.
Gandalf never met Pippin pre-quest but he knew who Pippin was bcos his reputation preceded him. Every time Gandalf passed through the Shire ppl would be like ‘you’ll never guess what the Thain’s son’s gone and done this week’ and he was like ‘fascinating tell me more’
& then when Pippin showed up in Rivendell w Frodo he was like ‘YOU!!!’

Im sick with flu so naturally I picked up my newly bought copy of Howl's Moving Castle which includes DWJ interviews in the back.
And im in love with the way she tells these stories feels like a part of her books.

Having your own personal blog is honestly quite a nice change of pace compared to Reddit. I could put a funny GIF of George Bush getting hit by a shoe on here and the worse case scenario is that no one even notices.
You put that on a big subreddit and you get your eyes gouged out and a heap of political discourse underneath your post.
